CHIP offers educational and therapeutic services for children with developmental delays
and children with PDD/autism.  Family services are considered to be an integral part of the
program. CHIP has special expertise in providing ABA Verbal Behavior programs using
Discrete Trial Methodology and Natural Environment Teaching (NET) for children with a

All CHIP clinicians are certified by New York State in their areas of practice.  We take
pride in our experienced and well-trained staff.  Many of the staff, both full and part time
teachers and therapists of all disciplines, have worked for CHIP for years and bring their
substantial professional expertise to their work with the children.  Also CHIP provides
extensive training and ongoing supervision, particularly in the area of ABA and verbal
behavior.

All services are provided at no cost to families and are funded and regulated by the New
York State Department of Health and by NYC Early Intervention Program under the
auspices of the City of New York Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
The mission of CHIP (Children’s Home Intervention Program) is to be the premier agency
providing quality services in New York City to children with a diagnosis of autistic
spectrum disorder and children with other developmental delays. The program is grounded
in the science of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) and incorporates therapeutic modalities
of all members of the interdisciplinary team. Our mission is to support families to maximize
the effectiveness and the enjoyment of participating in their children's growth and
development.

Values and Practices:
EXCELLENCE:  We are committed to providing the highest quality of professional services

advocates for their children.

by providing on-going intensive, behaviorally based and practice-based training and
